A picture of me from high school and 10 things...

Christmas Time a very long time ago.....I think I'm about 14 or so in this picture.

And here are 7 random things:
1. My hair was almost redonkulously long.

2. When I was a freshman...a senior nicknamed me, Winnie. As in Winnie Cooper, from the show, The Wonder Years, because he said I looked like her.

3. I loved and wore those same flannel pajama shorts for years.

4. I never burned that "marble" candle I'm holding in the picture. It was too pretty to burn.

5. I used to wash my hair with Pantene ProV...if I were to smell that shampoo it would probably give me flashbacks.

6. That is my sister's arm in the picture.

7. One year we strung popcorn with a needle and thread. I thought it was so fun, even though I ended up poking my fingers "un-countable" times.

8. I wish I could go back and tell myself what I know now...to not be shy, that it's ok, if the "cool" kids don't like you and make fun of you, and that the real "cool" kids were the ones that weren't "cool".

9. I used to eat the same thing everyday...a pretzel and yogurt or maybe if I was feeling crazy, a slice of greasy Dominoes pizza- because they would sell it from a little cart in our cafeteria. It was pretty gross.

10. I still feel exactly the same as I did then.....I'm have bigger numbers in my age, I wear a much bigger size pair of jeans now, and I'm not as shy as I used to be.

Recipe for a Wild Friday Night

Yes...We were some girls gone wild tonight....
Get out your cookbook note cards because we're about to cook up a wild Friday night.
One thing that is essential before reading any further...note that my sister is visiting...which means I am excited, because just like in our childhood years, she is sleeping in the room next to mine...hooray.

Here is the recipe to cook up a wild friday night

(in no particular order, actually none of these are in order, at all) 

And no one checked anyone's id at the door

What you need:

1. 2 Sisters 

(with real babies of their own, not plastic babies like when we first were next door neighbors and much shorter and less digits in our ages)

2. A good round of baby baths

(complete with getting peed on right before inserting a bathee into their bathtub)

3. The horrible FLASH-powered self-portrait I thought would be fun to jazz things up a bit and show you how glamorous I am on Friday nights...yeah that's right, I gave my make-up the night off. See the above pictures to review said photograph. That's what I call "phancy photography".

4. Blue Berry Cobbler

One wonderful mother who baked us a blue berry cobbler, set the timer and bid us farewell. We both really wished we had some ice cream to make it a la mode.

****awww man ,I already messed up the order, she said good bye then we started the baths....I'm too exhausted to go re-type it.

5. Me singing this song in my "manliest" voice...."The Surrey With The Fringe On Top"

(because it's funny, and we were just joke singing it yesterday- then we went to an antique store, my sister buys this old kids book...we open it up when we get home, and guess what song is inside on the first page?" Surrey Song!)

6. Pajama Party Time

We all had our jammies on at around 8:30pm....I know....wild party animals.

7. Say Good Night To the Party Man

We all marched up to say goodnight to Jordan, who did not appreciate my "Surrey Song", I sang for him, and promptly asked us to leave his room saying we were embarrassing to his friends that would hear us on his headset in the background.

8. Seconds and Thirds

Yes, I had not only seconds, but third helpings of the blueberry cobbler....I couldn't help myself, it's Friday!

9. Disturbing the Peace

I had to ask Jordan who was up until moments ago, laughing very loudly and talking really loudly...a little too much to my "you're going to wake up the baby"-level loud....he promptly replied with, "I'm being too loud, huh?"....

10. Diapers are Fun

As my niece, who is 2, came with me to "help" change the baby's diaper (she handed me a wipe)...said..."she has a lotta poop! That is uh-sgusting!"

It's almost midnight and I've had my jammies on for hours....

Camera Surprises

 Sometimes when I upload photos I get special photo surprises..like these...they are precious photo surprises taken by my little photo-taking-loving-lil-people, and I see little pictures like this...
(I have no idea how Alani got those pretty colored bubble things in the picture, but I love them!)
mostly all the photos look like this and most are very uplose-to-the-face pictures of them making silly faces..ha ha ha

I have many others I could've uploaded..but just imagine tons more blurry photos or photos of just a silly face, crazy eyes or a silly mouth face...ha ha ha

I love this pictures and I love the precious little people that took these...and I will treasure these little pictures forever....

Bath-tending

Welcome to our "Bath Cafe"....when I was asked, "what would you like to drink ma'am"...
by my 4 year old "heart melter", Blake...
I asked: "what do you have?"
Blake: "we have "yemonade, root beer floats, every drink you can think of!"

I ordered 2 root beer floats...one for me and one for Ellie Bellie (they were both pretend, we were not really gonna drink the bathwater beverages)...
They were the most delicious root beer bath floats we'd ever had!
We told Blake how amazing they were....what a great drink creator he was and thanked him so much!

He beamed and asked if we'd like another drink. We ordered another "round" of root beer floats.

It's a good thing they were imaginary, because we drank a lot of floats!

We love baths...we'll I myself am a "shower person"...but my little me's love baths.
Blake would take 3 baths a day if I had the energy to give him 3 baths a day...but I only have energy for 1 bath a day! ha ha ha ha

Nighttime Cuteness: matching monkey feet

 All my kids are fans of the footie jammies...this is Blakey in his "jungle jammies" with monkeys on the feet....and little Ellie Bellie had her monkey jammies on too!

 It was hard to catch a non-blurry picture of Blakey or baby...since both of them move very, very, very fast....

 Both were all shiny and new smelling from their baths. And Alani is happily sleeping in her "pink leopard print" footie jammies, but was a little sad that the ones in her size don't have animals on the feet.

Best sound in the world....my little precious ones laughing and playing together. Jordan would not wear footie pajamas even if I found them in his size! ha ha ha Being 14 and taller than your mom, is a pretty clear sign that footie jammies won't be appreciated! ha ha ha

So for now, I'll enjoy my house full of animal-footsies!

What the week has been going on!?

this week has felt like a whirlwind of "what am I doing- where am I going- where is that thing I was just looking for- and "what time do I need to be where?!?"......

late breaking news in my life and happenings:

1. we just got home from NYC and did not even unpack yet- except for my toothbrush and dirty clothes which I had to wash already

2. i came home and while I was gone my dad (and Jordan helped too) had totally cleaned, organized, and made my garage look amazing! It needs to be in a magazine called "Awesome Garages", now!

3. I'm going to the Emmy's (insert cartwheeling!)- more on that on my www.kandeej.com blog...and I ordered a cheap vintage dress on ebay to wear- and it fits totally weird.

4. Tried to find a new vintage treasure at a thrift store/re-selling place last night...Blakey kept running in and throwing the curtains in the dressing room apart, right when I only had underwear on, so the whole store got an unwanted view of myself. (i apologize to the 3 people in the store)

5. I am happy to be home if only for enough time to wash dirty clothes and re-pack everyone's suitcases- big suit cases, baby suitcases, little princess suitcases, little lightning mcqueen suitcases... lots of suitcases.

6. Happy to be home and I can blend up my smoothies again.

7. Not as happy that I returned home to an overwhelming, and when i say that...i mean pages and pages and pages and pages and pages of emails (and that's just my work email address), real mail, voice messages, too many texts to get back to, and my angry mail lady that yells at me because I "get too much mail".

8. and thanks to all the haters that tried to ruin my contest videos...I've been waiting to hear back from Youtube to fix them so we can re-post the contest videos! I am extending the contest once the videos are up, so everyone can be a part!

9. now i have a pretty big list of things to do before we pack up the car this afternoon...
changing diapers, making snack and trying to do laundry and pack everyone's suitcases...

10. and I didn't put any make-up on....(or do my hair) yesterday...so to the people that asked, "are you kandee johnson yesterday".....hope I didn't scare you without my make-up on!

...my couch looks like this on a friday night.
What the hay-bales is going on in this picture, you might ask?

No, don't be fooled what looks like the leftovers of a wild party...is just a typical day of little people of mine "de-perfecting" the cushions on the couch.
-a my little pony doll (her name is Starshine) that sings a really fast "starshine version" of twinkle twinkle and a star on her belly lights up- the baby loves this, but it's real owner is Alani.

-a magazine, that I thought, I would have a free minute to look at...but the only looking I've done is when I looked at the couch and saw it was opened by a misplaced couch cushion.

-my blue baby sling that seems to make everyone think SHE is a boy....I don't even correct people anymore, "yep,  he sure is big alright".

-and the zebra pillow thing is my nursing baby pillow, it's by Luna Lullaby - the Bosom Baby Nursing pillow. This thing is 596,064 times better than a Boppy...Boppy's are too firm, puffy, weird shaped -it's like balancing a baby on a semi-soft log. This zebra pillow is the bees-knees for breastfeeding moms and it makes a nice back rest or cushion for baby to sit against..aw, just check out what I mean HERE.

Bonus: at dinner while I tried to hold a bouncing baby with one arm, I managed to spill salad dressing all over my pants, shirt and who knows where else.
I ate a cupcake for dessert.
Then tore up the town, er I mean the grocery store, jump to me scooping spoonfuls of watermelon out and typing this blog...
and that's my friday night.

Saturday Favorites:

(this was one of my favorite hair dids....please refer below under: FAVORITE HAIR: this is the picture I'll be talkin' bout. And yes that is my real hair- no wiggies- and this was after it had grown out from my shaving it really short! ha ha)

I had a pen-pal when I was little.
We loved sending each other "what's your favorite" lists.
Here's my pen-pal-favorite list to you, my internet-pen-pal:

Favorite Saturday Morning Donut: Rainbow Sprinkled cake donut with the white or chocolate frosting

Favorite Toothpaste: Tom's Toothpaste in some kind of mint flavor

Favorite TV Shows: hmmm, I like any decorating or cooking shows and the Bravo Channel, well at least when they are not showing a "real housewives show". I did watch that Millionaire Matchmaker show as I was typing my blog last night...it sort of grossed me out a little.

Favorite Scent: vanilla, tahitian gardenia, and well more but that I can't think em them all...

Favorite pair of shoes: well, they are not really shoes but flip flop sandals....I wear my black Havaianas (or however you spell their name)

Favorite Station on Pandora: a few, but I always end up listening to the La Roux station or to relax I listen to the St. Germain or Cantoma station....or we like to listen to Reggae when we make our morning smoothies...feels like we are living on an island! ha ha

Favorite flavor gum (yes, this is a question we used to ask): speartmint or mint, for some reason I do NOT like cinnamon gum, it makes my feel like my breath is hot, not minty cool...I know, I'm weird but I love being weird...normal is so boring

Favorite hair do I've ever had: well I have 2..please refer to picture on top of this blog...and this one:

ok, so this wasn't my real hair, but I loved it....(this is the look from the Jessica Rabbit Tutorial I did-click here if you wanna look at it with your eyeballs). If I ever did this to my real hair, to bleach it then dye it...my hair would look like red hay or straw.

3 Random Favorite things that make me happy:
*being first at a stop light (I don't know why, I think because no one is blocking my driving view)
 *how towels smell at hotels, well when they have that super sterile clean smell (otherwise my hotel-germa-phobe-i-shouldn't-have-watched-that-special-on-how-many-things-they-discovered-in-hotel-rooms-because-it-grosses-me-out-grossy-ness-kicks-in)
*seeing all my little smiling faces on saturday morning...well actually every morning, but I did title this "Saturday Favorites", so I tried to sort of stick to my own theme! ha ha ha

Piles of virtual sprinkled donuts...they are easier to "ship" and calorie free....
