Great Maternity idea- rental pregnancy clothes!

(me in my various degrees of pregnancy- and the best part...not one of these shirts is a maternity shirt-just big normal shirts!)
this is such a great idea- which I, and I'm sure others have thought of- rental maternity clothes!
You rent all kinds of clothes you're not gonna wear again- prom dresses, costumes, even wedding dresses...and who wants to wear maternity clothes when you're not "maternity" anymore! ha ha
No one wants to wear pregnant clothes when you're not pregnant anymore, because it just makes you look pregnant! ha ha ha
Well, unless you buy some big shirts from the non-maternity section, like I did.
H & M, and Old Navy is where I went to buy normal clothes in big sizes to fit over my belly!

So if you know someone who's preggy and is in need of some pregnancy clothes, but doesn't want to spend a bunch of money....hit if Old Navy or send them this cool link to just "borrow" some pregnancy clothes for cheap, see click here:
(I'm gonna go post this on my pregnant sisters facebook...hee hee)

Who want a closet full of gathered, pleated or "wrap" style pregnancy shirts....? ha ha ha

now they just need one called, "stylish-funky-trendy-and-don't-wanna-wear-any-ugly-maternity-clothes"...ha ha ha

glad I just gave my sister the last of my maternity clothes...she has her own maternity company, called, kandee's pregnancy klothes...ha ha ha

Pink Beards and a Sundae Buffet

Saturday went a lil' somethin' like this...
Beard Contest thatta' way...
(I love how Blakey posed when he asked me to take his picture...ha ha ha)
My favorite was the guy with the hot pink beard (in honor of breast cancer awareness month)...
he said he just sprayed it pink with temporary hair color...makes you wish you had a beard huh, ...ok maybe not...
Me and baby posing in front of Kit Carson while a random little boy was throwing some things that fell from the trees at my legs...that's why I'm making a weird face...
i like how it specifies that size counts only in "longest" and "fullest"...ha ha ha
This guy looked liked he walked out of a Western movie...I loved his beard and his outfit!

then...since Blakey loves trains, we went on the Train only looped around the station a few times, but Blakey loved it...
and baby made everyone laugh showing her toothless gums! I love this face!
and finally we go stuff to make homemade enchiladas at my gramma's house...and
ice cream goodies to make a "make-your-own-ice-cream" Sundae buffet......

we played train rides on gramma's porch...alani and blake would ask for our tickets, stamp them, then ask where we wanted to go...they made my mom wear a funny straw hat with shells and buttons glued on it and I got to wear an old straw cowboy hat that had holes in it..I probably still have little straw pieces in my hair.

trains, planes  and we rode in an automobile... kandee

This is reason 2,498 why I love Old Navy...

these Hello Kitty Cuppycake pajamas are too adorable

...and yes, we use pacifiers as chew toys....

World's BIggest Donut

Ok, this is the biggest donut I've ever seen!
When we saw this donut....I knew Jordan would love it....
the rest of us got "normal" sized donuts!
But Jordan loved it and even took it to his friends house to show him! ha ha ha
this was me trying to take a picture with my hand in it, to show you the size comparison....
this was my first picture, but I thought...that just looks like a normy sized donut in a little box! ha ha ha

And with all my editing problems last night, you better believe I wish I had a box full of sprinkled cake donuts to eat my frustration away! ha ha ha

donuts bigger than your head.... kandee

We're 9 months old!

I can't believe Elyse, my lil Cupcake is 9 months old already!
I can't believe she'll be 1 year old in 3 little months.
I took the picture above, when she was on my lap the other day....and I just wanted to stare her her precious little face....
and yes, I blogged some of the pictures my mom took of us at lunch the other day at Joan's on 3rd....but this lil face is just too cute...

I cannot believe she has been bringing so much joy into our lives for the last 9 months...
it feels like it was not long ago that I was tweeting when I was up late because I couldn't sleep and was thinking if I should call my midwife or not...because maybe I was in labor! ha ha ha

Oh this little precious just melts my heart- she melts all our hearts...and I just thank God for this little gift of joy!

9 months worth of hugs....from kandee

Home Sweet Home

I am home from the Big Beautylish Beauty Social weekend...
I have piles of laundry, groceries that need to be bought, bags that need to be unpacked, videos that need to be edited...and I had a dream last night that somehow I had like 7 kids instead of just 4 and I was so exhausted from my dream, when I woke up I felt tired still!

I am scared to go check my emails- I haven't been able to check em for a few days and it's just going to be pages and pages and pages and pages and pages- and it makes me tired just thinking about it- so I'm gonna stop thinking about it for now!
(notice the LA chic-styled, guy in the background...LA celeb style man-beanie, lots of layers of things and the ESSENTIAL sunglasses--I'm not sure why he had a beanie, scarves and jackets on- it was not cold outside ha ha ha)
But this is at one of my all-time favorite places to eat in LA (I blog about it everytime I go there! ha ha)'s Joan's on Third, which is on 3rd Street ofcourse! ha ha
My favorite part is the desserts and their food is so yummy!!!
Here's lil Elyse sitting in her high chair at Joan's....I think the first time she sat in her high chair was at Joan's! (yep, I blogged about it HERE- if you wanna see)

I better go...I have sooooo much on my to-do list!

Typing with messy hair and no make-up from Alani's bedroom...(laptop means I can make any room my office- ha ha ha)... your very un-glamorous looking kandee

There's gonna be a new baby in the family!

We are gonna have a new baby in the family!
And when I say we.....I mean my sister.
But my mom always told us to share, so.........
and since I have wayyyy more babies than my sister, it's time she tries to catch up! ha ha ha Just kidding.

Yes, I was finally given the thumbs up to share that my lil sissy is officially a baby garden, baby oven, baby get the idea- my sister is 3 months pregnant! hooray!

I am so excited for my sister and my precious brother-in-law! (he is almost exactly like me...that's why she married him! ha ha ha...just kidding, but without fail whenever we go anywhere, it's me and my brother-in-law that always order the same exact thing, that no one else is ordering! Or we'll tell my sister the same advice or opinion! ha ha ha)

My sister asked my lil Niece, Sydney who is 2 and a half,
"Do you want a little brother or little sister?"
SYDNEY replies:
"hmmmmm, I want a pizza!"

So excited...and I hope she has a girl so I can give her all Cupcake's fun girly clothes and toys! And my sister found out she was pregnant right after I had just given all the baby's little baby things  to my 2 pregnant friends! ha ha ha

Good thing she hurried up and told me she was going to have a baby!

To my sister: I love you and I can't wait to see this precious lil baby....I'll be your labor coach! I'll  make you laugh-all-through-your labor..ha ha ha ha

hooray for a new niece or nephew!!! Auntie Kandee

Baby and Me Outfit of the day!

Me and lil Cupcake heading to the Beautylish Beauty Social on Saturday...
she is wearing: (the cutest baby) leopard leggings from Target, a hand-me-down shirt from my neice, a fur vest we got at Old Navy, and a little "cupcake" like tulle hair clip, and I can't remember where we got her sockies!
on me: vintage giant "stud" looking earrings, shirt from some store on Melrose, and my very special, vintage Turquoise Squashblossom that's from Santa Fe...

I really wish Target had made these pink baby leggings in bigger sizes...
and Old Navy has the cutest baby stuff...the only problem is that everyone else must love it too, because they are always sold out of the sizes we need! ha ha

From one of the best places to go in LA:

This is happy Ellie Bellie (aka Cupcake, aka a lot of other sweetie names)...and no she does not eat bread but it sure was fun to hold and tap it against the table! Ha Ha Ha
There was the cutest little "almost 2 year old" from Australia sitting at the table across from us that was blowing us kisses...and Elyse thought she was hilarious!
At one of my favorite places in LA...the Grove! As you can see by the sign the Cheesecake Factory it there...yumzie, but the line is always too long! ha ha And there tons of little places to eat outside, which the kids always like better.

Strolling around looking at all the fun things, the water show, the trolley car, the huge line that was at the Apple store- for I'm not sure what Apple goodie, the band that was playing's so fun there I just love it!
Happy Saturday everyone!

huge hugs and hooray for SATURDAY!!!! kandee

Baby Glasses

How to make your baby look smarter in 5 seconds! ha ha ha now (she speaks Greek and Latin fluently! just kidding she doesn't even speak English yet!)

These are actually Blakey's little pretend glasses he like to wear...they don't have lenses in them either! ha ha ha- they are like all mama's glasses I use in my videos...just the frames, baby!

The kids think stuff like this is the funniest thing they've ever seen!

And baby wore them for about 2.5 seconds before she pulled them straight off!

We love glasses and not one of us actually needs to wear them to see!

I did hear of a study of waitresses...and people tipped the waitresses more money when they were wearing glasses! Crazy huh!
Power to the GLASSES!!!
your fake spectacle-wearing Kandee!

I need a Super Hero today...

it's a good thing I have a resident super hero in the house..because today I think I need one! Ok, scratch that....I need one everyday.

We got back from the Youtube Meet Up last night...
and today I need to do a list pretty darn huge before I pack all our stuff to head to the Beauty Social event this weekend, the Meet Up for the Big Cover FX event at Sephora, and I have a bunch of other things I'm trying to fit in, while carrying a baby everywhere! ha ha

Yesterday at Youtube, ofcourse baby goes with me everywhere...I missed all lot of the super important parts of the day yesterday because I had to feed baby! Life of a nursing mom who's baby doesn't take bottles...ha ha ha She's more important anyway.

Now I'm off to try to pack, type my blog, attempt to peek at my emails that didn't even get looked at yesterday or today...ahhhhh scary.

Wishing I had roller skates today so I can whizzzzz around faster everywhere I have to go today!

oh boy I better stop typing....wishing you all roller skates for your day too!

Camera Surprises

Sometimes when I upload photos I get special photo these...they are precious photo surprises taken by my little photo-taking-loving-lil-people, and I see little pictures like this...
(I have no idea how Alani got those pretty colored bubble things in the picture, but I love them!)
mostly all the photos look like this and most are very uplose-to-the-face pictures of them making silly faces..ha ha ha
I have many others I could've uploaded..but just imagine tons more blurry photos or photos of just a silly face, crazy eyes or a silly mouth face...ha ha ha

I love this pictures and I love the precious little people that took these...and I will treasure these little pictures forever....

surprise pictures....kandee

maybe you can surprise someone with a fun picture today! ha ha ha

Our Sunday Best

This is Blake is his most dapper of duds, coolest shoes, and must have hat...after church, after hot chocolate, after our lunch, but we ordered breakfast food, after a drive to gramma's...

incase you love these and want to buy: Hat- I can't remember where we got it actually, shirt and tie came together from Old Navy, Jeans are Levi's, and shoes -Old Navy again!
 and goodbye- he's outta here.
Alani and I, and her great grama who bought this dress are all in love with the 1940's. Me and Alani got her a little vintage 40's dress for super cheap at an antique store a few weeks ago, she loved it, wore it to school and reported that FIVE people told her they liked her dress that day.
ABOVE: Alani's requested hair do. We call it "twisty sides".
Alani and her new 40's dress that my Nana (her grand-nana) found for her and sent to us yesterday! We love it Nana! We would have paired this with saddle shoes, but we don't own any. Alani loves her PediPed patent leather Elizabeth boots!
what better way to spend the Sunday than swinging on a white fence and twirling in the grass or in Blaker's case...running as fast as you can all over the place.

1940's dresses and wishing we had saddle shoes..... kandee

Welcome to our "Bath Cafe"....when I was asked, "what would you like to drink ma'am"...
by my 4 year old "heart melter", Blake...
I asked: "what do you have?"
Blake: "we have "yemonade, root beer floats, every drink you can think of!"

I ordered 2 root beer for me and one for Ellie Bellie (they were both pretend, we were not really gonna drink the bathwater beverages)...
They were the most delicious root beer bath floats we'd ever had!
We told Blake how amazing they were....what a great drink creator he was and thanked him so much!

He beamed and asked if we'd like another drink. We ordered another "round" of root beer floats.

It's a good thing they were imaginary, because we drank a lot of floats!

We love baths...we'll I myself am a "shower person"...but my little me's love baths.
Blake would take 3 baths a day if I had the energy to give him 3 baths a day...but I only have energy for 1 bath a day! ha ha ha ha

Clean and full of imaginary floats...kandee

Nighttime Cuteness: matching monkey feet

All my kids are fans of the footie jammies...this is Blakey in his "jungle jammies" with monkeys on the feet....and little Ellie Bellie had her monkey jammies on too!
It was hard to catch a non-blurry picture of Blakey or baby...since both of them move very, very, very fast....
Both were all shiny and new smelling from their baths. And Alani is happily sleeping in her "pink leopard print" footie jammies, but was a little sad that the ones in her size don't have animals on the feet.
Best sound in the little precious ones laughing and playing together. Jordan would not wear footie pajamas even if I found them in his size! ha ha ha Being 14 and taller than your mom, is a pretty clear sign that footie jammies won't be appreciated! ha ha ha

So for now, I'll enjoy my house full of animal-footsies!

love and monkey jammies, kandee

What's in the "Kandeeland" fridge?!?

Hootie Hoooooooooo
An owl.

This is Alani's lunch tote.
(and in case anyone loves it and wants own of their own, we got it at Target, it's made by Arctic Zone)

I'd prolly think my fridge would be filled with trays of cupcakes and rolls of cookie dough...and yikes! Why do I have all that greenery up in there....
Yes, I'm a closet health nut. ha ha ha

I've got Coconut Milk, Flax Seeds (for my smoothies), kale, spinach, even more coconut milk...and more vegetables and healthy stuff.

I know, I know snooze-ville. With a name like Kandee, you'd expect cakes, pudding, syrups and sauces...and instead I've got Cod Liver Oil in many flavors (yes, they make it flavored- and let me tell you.....Pina Colada is not a flavor Fish Oil should come in-yuck!)

love from your smoothie makin, health-nutty....kandee

WHAT THE FLUSH!?! You put WHAT in your toilet!?!

Yes....I know, I know! I know what we all put in our toilets....
But I've got something else you need to put in your toilet today!

RANDOM FACT: Did you know that 40% of a households water supply goes to flushing toilets!?! That's more than showering, washing dishes, washing hands or laundry!

So what's a toilet flusher to do?!?

No need to resort to the "If it's yellow let it mellow"...theory either. Stagnate pee smell is not very mellow! ha ha ha

Not put a brick in your toilet tank!- DO NOT do this...the bricks will disintegrate and can cause huge plumbing issues.

You DO WANT to fill a plastic water bottle, juice bottle (whatever you have- it's a good way to re-purpose and re-use, baby!)...with some rocks, sand or gravel-
then fill the rest up with water, put the cap on and put it in the tank part of your toilet. (the big part in the back with the lid on it, that fills up with water)
You can put 1-2 plastic water bottles in the tank too!

RANDOM -what the FLUSH fact: According to studies, the average person flushes the toilet 5 times a day.

An average family of 4 can save up to 600 gallons of water per month this way!
It's a good way to SAVE money on your water bill and help out the environment.

RANDOM FACT #3: Did you know that the average hot tub or jacuzzi that seats up to 6 people holds around 350-500 gallons of water and takes an average of 2 hours to fill up with a garden hose.

RANDOM TOILET FACT #4: New "low-flush" toilet use around 1.3-1.6 gallons per flush, however older toilets, like those from the 50's use up to 8 gallons per flush!

tryin to save you dollars and water...your kandee
