Let them eat cake...

 this one of my favorite pictures of Blakey and Alani when they were much smaller....
one of my favorite things to do...well before the addition of lil' cupcake, which is funny that I call her "cupcake" in my blogs...but my favorite things to do, or was to do...was to bake!
Since "baking" my lil cupcake....I seem to have no spare time to do such lovely things like bake, or even put on make-up ha ha ha...

this was my "famous" (well famous in our house anyway)...chocolate cake, which Alani decorated with mini marshmallows in her very precious, then 3 year old self (she's now 6)...

When you have kids, and lots of them...much of your time is taken up with laundry...lots of laundry. Lots of dishes. Lots of cleaning. Lots of baths. Lots of picking up, cleaning up little messes. Lots of people going to the bathroom. Lots of hugs. Lots of love. Lots of filling their hearts up with love and making them feel special.

Life is short. It's an even shorter time that babies are babies and kids are little. Life is too short to loose your temper. Make moments special. Make everyone in your life know how much you love them. And if you have babies and kids...let them know you think they are the most amazing things in the world...

Laundry is waiting to be washed, waiting to be folded, waiting to be put in the dryer, to be put away...
there is a stray sock in my peripheral vision as I type this...
but the laundry I'm washing is the blankies that I wrap around my little ones so they feel "nice and cozy"...and "warmie" as Blakey says...
and the sock, as all baby socks do, is little cupcake's sock...
and I am so blessed to have little Blankies to wash and little socks, like pennies from heaven, that have fallen from chubby lil' feet to be sprinkled on the floor and know that this house is filled with love...

I know...you'd prolly think my fridge would be filled with trays of cupcakes and rolls of cookie dough...and yikes! Why do I have all that greenery up in there....

I've got Coconut Milk, Flax Seeds (for my smoothies), kale, spinach, even more coconut milk...and more vegetables and healthy stuff.

I know, I know snooze-ville. With a name like Kandee, you'd expect cakes, pudding, syrups and sauces...and instead I've got Cod Liver Oil in many flavors (yes, they make it flavored- and let me tell you.....Pina Colada is not a flavor Fish Oil should come in-yuck!)

Central Park and Turkish Delights

what: something I've always dreamed of...riding a carriage through central park-

after a day of darting from fashion show to hotel to feed baby, darting back to fashion shows...back to hotel....I missed my little baby..who I am normally with every millisecond of the day... it was so fun to just hold her and we clippity-clopped along....
and she fell asleep...

 we went to dinner at a Turkish Restaurant on 57th called Istanbul Cafe (I think)....it was so good...Stuffed Grape Leaves like I've never had- we ordered a second order they were so good. Yogurt Chicken Kebabs and Sultan's Delight....with Pistachio Baklava for dessert (Turkish Delight is more like a candy than a dessert so we went with the Baklava)...so delishy!

 then we (meaning baby)...woke up and were being interested in my phone...

everyone's asleep but me now.....I'm going to go sleep because I think I'm about 1,978 hours in the negative as far asleep is concerned...

Fake Sunglasses, HAIRCUTS & crepes...

yesterday 11:45am:
my mom, post haircut by my friend who just cut moms hair, Bethanie..as you know, that's baby Elysey-pie in her arms.

I was telling both Bethanie and my mom how I wanted to chop all my hair off- to which they both said no, they like my long hair. They both know that this is the longest it's been in 10 years! (I actually cut it all off in August 2001- so it's been 10 years since my hair was only centimeters long...ha ha)

Bethanie took us to the coolest place for lunch- I am in love with these "bottle-lights". The guy that works there, who was a cool hipster looking guy with tattoos that could've easily been a model, made these. He said his girlfriend came up with the idea and he fabricated them. They recycle all their old liquor bottles and turn them into lights! I loved these!

Then we went down the corner and tucked behind a tattoo parlor is this yummy crepe place. Bethanie treated us to Lemon Butter and Powdered Sugar crepes! They were so tiny and cute, and didn't seem so  bad to eat when they are this tiny!

PS. We were thinking of doing some fun colorings to my hair, but I didn't think baby would be happy staying any longer, so we delayed my hair fun til another time. I want soemthing fun and new. My mom got lots of "hair attention" all day....I really love her haircut and kind of wish I had it too. I'm gonna go brush my hair. (just kidding, I don't even have time to brush my hair- see how much easier the short hair would be!)

Dangerous cookies in the kitchen..

these Gianna's  handmade cookies are dangerously delicious....

we bought these last night...and I have polished them off by this morning!

ahhhhhhhhhh

I was healthy and bought vegetables, fruits, nuts, all my vitamins...and other "more healthy" snacks....

then I saw these babies near the checkout stand (they always get you with the goodies by the checkout stand!!!)...

ha ha ha I don't even think I tried to resist them....I just said, "get in my cart!" ha ha ha

Jordan and his friend Alec, that spent the night, made cinnamon rolls, and Jordan's "top secret" icing recipe, which I'm pretty sure is just powdered sugar, butter, a little milk and some vanilla extract...

I didn't eat any (yay!) because cinnamon isn't supposed to be good to eat while you are nursing...along with chocolate...hence the shortbread deliciousness purchase!

now I'm off to eat a healthy (cookie-free) ha ha ha lunch!
