Best Toys, Gadgets, & Gift For That Baby in Your Life

Since it will be baby's first Christmas, we thought it would be fun to show you our favorite and must-have baby toys, baby gadgets, and ideas for gifts for anyone who's pregnant or has a baby!

So here's a new video from my "baby channel" on Youtube...with me and baby!

These are our tried and tested baby favorites that you may love too. And all the toys are under $20 too!

The reason I'm making sure you know I got it online is- we went to the Walmart store after we got the little laptop to get one for my neice, and found out that it's not at all the stores, but it is online. Don't want you to have an upset lil' niece like I did! ha ha ha

OUR BEST & FAVORITE BABY TOYS:

1. Baby Einstein Caterpillar Fun Bundle (rattle, teether, ball, and baby "ipod")-
this is a super deal for 4 toys, and the little ipod that plays classic music is our favorite


2. V-tech Pink Baby Learning Laptop
she loves my laptop, so this is great- she can bang on all the keys on hers and it won't break!
(They have this same one at Toys R Us for like $20, but it's at Walmart for $13!)


3. Bright Starts- Drop & Giggle Giraffe
My 4 and  6 year old, Blake and Alani, love this toy too! ha ha ha


4. V-tech Touch & Learn Musical Bee
*THIS IS MY FAVORITE!!!! She really like riding in the car (which is weird, all my other kids loved the car), but every she has this in the car with her, we put it on the "night time" mode, and she falls right asleep. And on daytime mode, this makes diaper change time so much easier, she holds the bee and I can change her diaper without her trying to crawl away. I think I'm going to buy another one, just in case something happens to this one! ha ha ha


5. Vtech Move & Crawl Electronic Activity Ball
This is so fun. It really wobbles all around.


ONE OF MY FAVORITE BABY MUST-HAVES IS:

THE BUMBO SEAT
-every one of my friends, and me- love these!
I had a lavender one for Alani, gave it away. A blue one for Blakey, and now we got a new Turquoise one for Elyse. Bumbo calls it Aqua, I love turquoise, so you say tomato, I say turquoise! ha ha ha
This is a must have for every mama!

BABY MONITOR MUST HAVE:
SUMMER INFANT- BabyTouch Digital Color Video Monitor
I bought this when I was pregnant, and I bought the old "sound only" monitor, because I didn't know if it was worth the extra money. I returned that sound only one, as soon as I used this. It's AMAZING! Not only can you see if they are moving around, have kicked a blanket off, or you can see if they wake up and are not making noise, but are sitting up or moving around.
I LOVE THIS MONITOR! And have told all my friends that this is a MUST have for your baby registries or a baby essential- it's worth every penny. No interference. No hearing you neighbors phone calls because the old monitors pick it up. So many times with the old monitor, when Alani and Blake were babies, they would be asleep- the monitor would start screeching from interference or you'd hear someone's phone call get picked up on the monitor and WAKE THEM UP! This has NEVER happened once with monitor in all the 10 months she's been alive and we've used it!

And I love how she stared at the camera and just smiles in this video! ha ha ha She just melts my heart!

Funny Face and Bumbo

 

this face gave me a "love attack"- that's when you're heart can take all the love that it feels in it's heart! ha ha ha
This is my little missy cutie face...she doesn't like to suck on pacifiers, but she likes to bite em like this!

 Bumbo's are great. I wish we had the cute pink or lavender one...but hey, this was a "hand-me-down" and I like this turquoisey color too, just the pink or even lime green ones are so cute! Alani had a lavender one when she was a baby...and as you can see we don't have that one anymore.

Baby sits in her Bumbo while I stand next to her and either inhale a meal or chug down a smoothie- which is what was happening in this picture when she made this face and I almost choked on my smoothie laughing!

I can't believe she's 8 months old already...I just want to hold her all day and stare at her little face..because I already feel like I am going to miss this age. I love her chubby hands and legs, her little baby voice babbling, and her precious little eyes that look at me with such love and mini-eyebrow raises, like her mama.

They are only babies for what feels like a few months....I just enjoy every moment. I still don't even mind waking up all night long, because it just means I get to cuddle her! I'll have years and years of sleeping through the night ahead of me!

Cozy, Comfy, Baby Outing Must Haves

We are big (and when I say "we", I mean lil Miss Cupcake or me and her together)
We sit in high chairs at restaurants- well at least for a little while.
We like things to be comfy and germ free...
So we, okay, back to just saying me...or I
I bought a high chair/ shopping cart cover to keep baby extra cozy and free from  "whatever germs-the-baby-that-sat-there-before-left-behind"...
-It comes with a little pillow and a carrying case...
but we (yep there we go again), like to chew on the little velvety tag...as seen above

I was playing around in photoshop and somehow Cupcake's hair got quite Lucille Ball-ish colored...but I'm too exhausted to play around and change it back- yes, I can say that, I am too tired. As a mama of 4, who stays up too late trying to blog and upload photos, and with a baby that wakes up a lot...I am tired. I am very tired. I have rings bigger than anything Kim Kardashian has on her fingers, under my eyes.

But my all-time favorite shopping cart cover is not the Bright Starts one, but they didn't have it at Babies R Us...It is the most padded, comfy, easy to put on, easy to carry, comes with a pouch to hold your keys, wallet, toys, bottles (if you use them), room to stash a clean diaper and wipes too....I actually like it way better for the shopping cart than the Bright Starts one...

It's the Buggy Bagg and it comes in other patterns too! I got a really cool black and cream Toile print one (I don't think they make that print anymore) when I had Alani and used it with Blaker too, until, well, I don't know where it is or where it went. 

I don't think it fits on high chairs...but it's worth it for grocery shopping, cruising through Whole Foods and trips to Target. I got so many compliments on it every time we used it.

I like to have babies as comfy as they can be at all times, whether next to me in a sling or cozy and comfy as we shop for groceries.
